Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security controls to protect cloud, network, and endpoint infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry regulations
- Create detailed security documentation and incident reports for executive stakeholders
- Lead security awareness training programs for employees across all departments
- Stay current on emerging threats through continuous research and threat intelligence analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, SOC, or incident response
- Certifications: Security+ (required), CISSP, CEH, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and endpoint protection platforms
- Experience with threat hunting methodologies and security automation (Python, PowerShell)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical audiences
