Responsibilities
- Monitor and Analyze: Continuously monitor security systems, SIEM logs, and alerts for potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Incident Response: Investigate, contain, and remediate security breaches and incidents in a timely manner.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively hunt for malicious actors and hidden threats within the network environment.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans, risk assessments, and penetration testing to identify weaknesses.
- Security Architecture: Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security controls, firewalls, and access management policies.
- Compliance: Ensure the organization adheres to regulatory requirements and internal security policies.
- Reporting: Generate detailed reports on security posture, incidents, and remediation efforts for stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) and incident response platforms.
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and firewalls.
- Tools: Familiarity with vulnerability scanners (e.g., Nessus, Qualys) and malware analysis tools.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
