Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and systems to detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Investigate security incidents, prepare incident reports, and recommend remediation strategies.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure software development and deployment processes.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and mitigation techniques.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or network administration.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, SIEM), log analysis, and forensic techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
