Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts across SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing exercises
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement remediation
- Stay current with emerging threats, attack vectors, and defensive technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Professional certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC preferred
- Expertise in network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance (required)
