Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify weaknesses in systems and applications.
- Investigate security breaches and incidents, performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and incident response plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, or GCIH are strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or SOC operations.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Linux, Windows), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation and security tooling.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Clearance to work with sensitive data is a plus.
