Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop incident response plans and execute breach mitigation
- Implement firewall configurations and network security protocols
- Collaborate with IT teams to maintain HIPAA/GDPR compliance
- Document security procedures and maintain audit trails
- Stay current on emerging threats through threat intelligence feeds
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in security operations center (SOC)
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in network analysis tools (Wireshark, Nmap)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and IAM
- Strong understanding of NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts for incident response
