Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk/QRadar) for rapid threat detection
- Conduct incident response investigations, including malware analysis and digital forensics
- Develop and implement security protocols for cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and on-premise infrastructure
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS standards
- Create executive-level security reports and remediation plans for stakeholders
- Stay current on emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or incident response roles
- Industry certifications (Security+, CISSP, or CISA preferred)
- Expertise in threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Recorded Future, CrowdStrike)
- Proficiency with network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Experience with cloud security frameworks (AWS Security Hub, Azure Sentinel)
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 operations coverage
