Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, and coordinate remediation
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network assets
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Conduct regular security audits and compliance reviews (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Stay current with emerging threats and attack vectors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or analysis
- Strong understanding of network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Certification in CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH preferred
- Proficiency with security tools: SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
