Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct threat hunting and vulnerability assessments across network environments
- Document security incidents and prepare detailed forensic reports
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption)
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate security vulnerabilities
- Stay current on emerging threats and security technologies
- Participate in incident response and disaster recovery drills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (Nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit)
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, GDPR)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
