Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response plans and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Investigate security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and prepare detailed reports
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Assist with compliance requirements (NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or analyst roles
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, firewalls, and endpoint security platforms
- Strong understanding of network protocols and attack vectors
- Experience with incident response procedures and forensic tools
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
