Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing using provided tools
- Incident response coordination including containment, eradication, and recovery
- Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Perform forensic analysis on security incidents using advanced forensic workstations
- Stay current on threat intelligence and regulatory compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Security certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA Security+)
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs)
- Experience with threat detection and incident response procedures
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Ability to analyze complex security data and communicate findings effectively
- Must pass background check and obtain required security clearance
