Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms to detect and respond to potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO frameworks
- Create comprehensive security documentation and executive-level threat reports
- Research emerging cyber threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Manage security tool configurations and optimize detection capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in security operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written communication for reporting complex technical issues
