Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate breach mitigation
- Implement and maintain firewall/IDS/IPS configurations
- Perform forensic investigations of security incidents
- Collaborate with IT teams on security architecture improvements
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in threat detection tools (CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) frameworks
- Strong knowledge of NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Ability to obtain DHS Secret clearance
