Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies, procedures, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure regulatory compliance
- Analyze network traffic and logs to identify suspicious activities and potential breaches
- Lead incident response efforts including containment, eradication, and recovery phases
- Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Strong understanding of network protocols and security architectures
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly
