Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Develop and implement security controls to protect cloud and hybrid environments
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR standards
- Create comprehensive incident response plans and disaster recovery protocols
- Analyze malware and threat intelligence using tools like Wireshark and IDA Pro
- Document security procedures and conduct regular employee training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in threat detection tools (CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and cloud security (AWS, Azure)
- Experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations and make critical decisions
