Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for client networks
- Develop and implement security policies aligned with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Collaborate with IT teams to harden systems against advanced persistent threats
- Generate executive-level security reports and threat intelligence briefings
- Lead incident response tabletop exercises and post-breach analysis
- Manage security automation scripts and orchestration workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SOC operations
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS, WAF)
- Experience with threat detection methodologies (MITRE ATT&CK framework)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in complex environments
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts for incident response
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
