Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM systems and EDR platforms to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents in real-time
- Conduct threat hunting activities using MITRE ATT&CK framework to identify sophisticated attack vectors
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on cloud/on-prem infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security playbooks for incident response procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement NIST and CIS security controls
- Generate executive-level security metrics and monthly threat intelligence reports
- Lead incident response tabletop exercises to enhance team preparedness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- Active CISSP, CISM, or Security+ certification (CompTIA Security+ acceptable)
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence sources
- Experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Valid US government security clearance preferred
