Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security incidents and anomalies
- Conduct forensic investigations and incident response coordination
- Implement NIST cybersecurity framework controls and compliance measures
- Develop threat intelligence reports and mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and strengthen defenses
- Perform security audits and penetration testing exercises
- Document security procedures and maintain compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and zero-trust architectures
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
