Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and investigate security alerts using Splunk and AlienVault
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Develop incident response plans and lead breach containment activities
- Analyze malware and advanced persistent threats using tools like Wireshark and IDA Pro
- Implement NIST and CIS security controls across cloud and on-premise environments
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate security gaps in applications
- Generate executive security dashboards and compliance reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or analyst roles
- CompTIA Security+ and CISSP certifications (or equivalent)
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and zero-trust architectures
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Valid US driver's license and ability to travel occasionally
