Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and investigate potential cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security incident response plans for threat mitigation
- Perform forensic analysis on security breaches and document detailed incident reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and other regulatory frameworks
- Create and maintain security documentation, including policies, procedures, and risk assessments
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat detection
- Professional certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CompTIA Security+ preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight)
