Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats
- Conduct incident investigations, forensic analysis, and coordinate remediation efforts
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks, policies, and procedures
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with NIST/CIS frameworks
- Stay current on emerging threats and provide actionable threat intelligence to stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat detection
- Strong proficiency in SIEM platforms, EDR solutions, and network security tools
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, GIAC GCIH, or equivalent required
- Experience with incident response protocols (NIST SP 800-61)
- Knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network architectures
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize threats under pressure
