Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with NIST/CIS frameworks
- Investigate security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and provide detailed incident reports
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, and network security tools
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and Windows/Linux systems
- Security certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CompTIA Security+)
- Experience with incident response methodologies and forensic tools
- Ability to work under pressure during critical incidents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
