Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for anomalous activities and potential threats
- Investigate security incidents using forensic tools and methodologies to determine root causes
- Develop and maintain security dashboards, reports, and threat intelligence summaries
- Implement and optimize network security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA frameworks
- Document security procedures, incident response playbooks, and remediation actions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations center (SOC) environments
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network analysis protocols
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and common attack vectors (DDoS, phishing, ransomware)
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61) and threat intelligence platforms
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
