Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate cybersecurity incidents and coordinate breach response protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry compliance standards (NIST, HIPAA)
- Present security metrics to executive stakeholders and recommend improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on security operations experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required (CEH preferred)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN)
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to work in a rotating on-call schedule
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
