Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools and threat intelligence platforms
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response plans and risk assessments
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure regulatory compliance
- Analyze network traffic and log data to identify anomalous activities and potential breaches
- Lead incident response activities including containment, eradication, and recovery efforts
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend security improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity analysis with hands-on incident response experience
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation platforms
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, system architectures, and attack vectors
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and compliance frameworks
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
- Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
