Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and analyze security alerts for potential threats
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement remediation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and regulatory compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and security frameworks (NIST, CIS)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and malware analysis
- Excellent written communication and report writing skills
