Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber incidents
- Conduct forensic investigations, root cause analysis, and incident reporting for security breaches
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and execute threat hunting strategies to proactively identify emerging risks
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities and implement security best practices
- Create and maintain comprehensive security documentation and incident response plans
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network security protocols, and threat intelligence platforms
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Windows/Linux systems, and cloud security frameworks
- Experience with NIST cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret complex security data
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred or ability to obtain within 30 days
