Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security protocols for network infrastructure and cloud environments
- Lead incident response activities including containment, eradication, and recovery operations
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance security controls across hybrid infrastructure
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards (HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and network security protocols
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to document complex technical findings
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel occasionally
