Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk/Symantec)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on cloud/on-prem systems
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate security gaps and harden systems
- Generate executive security reports and compliance documentation
- Lead incident response playbooks during security breaches
- Stay current on emerging threats (APT, ransomware, zero-day exploits)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on security operations experience
- CompTIA Security+/CISSP/CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM, Nmap, Wireshark, and PowerShell scripting
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and NIST frameworks
- Strong analytical skills with threat hunting expertise
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 security operations
