Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough incident response investigations, including root cause analysis and remediation of security breaches.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and manage patch management schedules to reduce attack surfaces.
- Enforce and maintain security policies and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct security awareness training and provide technical guidance to non-technical staff.
- Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats and industry trends to recommend proactive defense measures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, or GCFA are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security.
- Strong proficiency with SIEM platforms, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Experience with scripting and automation (Python or PowerShell) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for site security audits.
