Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms 24/7 to detect and respond to security incidents
- Conduct forensic analysis of network intrusions and malware events
- Develop and implement threat intelligence-driven countermeasures
- Generate comprehensive security incident reports for stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden systems
- Stay current with emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities
- Conduct periodic security audits and compliance assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and CIS controls
- Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Ability to work under pressure during high-stakes incidents
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
