Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for real-time threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Investigate security breaches, analyze attack vectors, and implement remediation strategies
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans and compliance reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry trends to enhance security posture
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incident handling
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or SOC environments
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA CySA+ preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security, and threat intelligence
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, SANS)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
