The Role:
In this position, you will be the first line of defense against cyber threats. You will work closely with the SOC team to identify vulnerabilities, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in SIEM systems to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, documenting findings and root causes.
- Develop and update security policies, procedures, and playbooks in accordance with NIST frameworks.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Perform regular security audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight) and incident response platforms.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
