Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring: Analyze SIEM alerts and logs to identify potential security breaches and anomalies in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security incidents, minimizing downtime and data loss.
- Network Defense: Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs to secure network perimeters.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses.
- Compliance Reporting: Ensure adherence to NIST, HIPAA, and other regulatory frameworks through detailed documentation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Splunk, Wireshark, or similar monitoring tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
