Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network infrastructure.
- Lead and coordinate incident response efforts, including containment, eradication, and recovery procedures.
- Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
- Ensure strict compliance with industry standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and NIST frameworks.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation for the organization.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into software development and network architecture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during security incidents.
