Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) tools for real-time threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Analyze network traffic, logs, and alerts to investigate potential security breaches
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident reports and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats, attack vectors, and defense technologies
- Participate in security awareness training and phishing simulation campaigns
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation tools
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and vulnerability scanners
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize security incidents
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting
