Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems using SIEM tools to detect and investigate potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Analyze security alerts and incidents, providing detailed reports and recommendations
- Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies through continuous research
- Assist with compliance audits for frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and security automation tools
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC preferred)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and malware analysis techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents
