Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security anomalies and investigate potential incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts using Python and PowerShell
- Document security incidents, remediation actions, and compliance reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls across cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
- Stay current with threat intelligence and emerging attack vectors
- Participate in incident response tabletop exercises and security awareness training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in SOC operations or security analysis
- Certification in CISSP, Security+, or CEH
- Proficiency with network security tools (Snort, Wireshark) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong understanding of NIST frameworks and compliance requirements
- Experience with cloud security monitoring (AWS GuardDuty, Azure Sentinel)
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 coverage
