Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement incident response plans, coordinating with cross-functional teams during security incidents
- Create detailed security documentation including policies, procedures, and after-action reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to harden systems and implement security best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and technologies through continuous research and training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network security protocols, and forensic investigation techniques
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
