SecureNet Systems is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to strengthen our security posture against emerging threats.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis, phishing attempts, and unauthorized access.
- Implement and maintain security controls, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols.
- Collaborate with IT staff to ensure the secure configuration of servers, networks, and applications.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC is highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security technologies.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
