Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk/Symantec) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop incident response playbooks and lead breach investigations
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security in CI/CD pipelines
- Generate executive security reports and compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations or threat analysis role
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms and forensic tools (EnCase, FTK)
- Hands-on experience with MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Strong knowledge of NIST 800-53 controls and GDPR/CCPA compliance
