Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents in real-time
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and remediate identified risks
- Investigate security breaches, document findings, and recommend corrective actions
- Develop incident response playbooks and conduct tabletop exercises
- Stay current on emerging threats and regulatory compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in security operations center (SOC) environments
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred
- Expertise in network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and endpoint protection
- Proficiency with threat intelligence platforms and security automation tools
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize complex security alerts
