As a key member of our R&D division, you'll collaborate with Nobel laureates and industry disruptors to develop quantum computing applications, neural interfaces, and sustainable tech frameworks. Our Austin hub offers unparalleled resources including a 5G+ lab and AI supercomputing cluster.
Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps for quantum computing, biotech, and climate tech sectors
- Design prototype solutions for next-generation human-computer interfaces
- Partner with VPs to integrate futurist insights into quarterly business planning
- Present foresight findings to C-suite and venture capital partners
- Manage cross-functional innovation sprints with 50+ researchers
- Publish annual 'Tech 2026' whitepapers and industry forecasts
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurology with 7+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in at least three of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AR/VR, or climate modeling
- Published thought leadership in top-tier tech journals (Nature, IEEE, etc.)
- Experience advising Fortune 500 companies on technology strategy
- Strong programming skills (Python, R, or equivalent) for prototyping
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario planning capabilities
