Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify emerging technologies, market shifts, and societal trends through 2026
- Develop and maintain 5-10 year strategic roadmaps aligned with long-term corporate vision
- Lead cross-functional workshops to integrate foresight insights into product development and innovation pipelines
- Author compelling scenario analyses and trend reports for executive leadership and board stakeholders
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions, innovation hubs, and future-focused organizations
- Monitor and interpret geopolitical, economic, and technological signals impacting future business landscapes
- Champion a culture of future-oriented thinking across all organizational levels
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Business Strategy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years experience in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist research
- Proven track record of developing long-term strategic frameworks for Fortune 500 companies
- Expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and their societal impacts
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts into executive narratives
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or implemented strategic initiatives
- Certification in Strategic Foresight or Futures Studies (e.g., from University of Houston or University of Oxford)
