Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python
- Implement security-first coding practices for cloud-native applications
- Collaborate with global teams during US/EU overlap hours for sprint planning
- Lead code reviews and optimize CI/CD pipelines for 24/7 deployment
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues during off-peak hours
- Document technical specifications and create API documentation
- Mentor junior engineers through our night-shift knowledge-sharing sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript (Node.js)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and microservices
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins)
- Strong problem-solving skills for critical system issues
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours
- CI/CD pipeline implementation experience
