We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team in Sacramento. Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Implement and enforce robust security protocols, access controls, and compliance standards.
- Oversee data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning to mitigate business risks.
- Provide advanced Tier 2/3 technical support and mentor junior administrators.
- Automate routine tasks and workflows using scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash.
- Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to ensure infrastructure aligns with business goals.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Systems Administrator or similar IT role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator are highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft Office 365.
- Deep knowledge of Linux administration and shell scripting (Bash/Python).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong verbal and written communication skills.
