We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior System Administrator to join our dynamic team in Washington, DC. Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure (Windows Server, Linux, AWS).
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues, and implement proactive maintenance strategies.
- Ensure strict data security and compliance with federal regulations, including NIST and FedRAMP standards.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, and identity management systems.
- Collaborate with network engineers to optimize network performance and connectivity.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and runbooks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator or IT Engineer in a corporate or government contracting environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux (RHEL/CentOS), and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Solutions Architect, or CCNA are highly preferred.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
