Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking equipment.
- Implement and enforce security protocols, firewalls, and Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies.
- Perform routine system patching, updates, and troubleshooting to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Automate repetitive administrative tasks using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Collaborate with development teams to deploy and scale applications in containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Conduct regular backups and execute disaster recovery drills to protect critical business data.
- Monitor system performance metrics and proactively resolve bottlenecks or outages.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Administrator or DevOps Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server administration.
- Valid certification such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or similar.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Excellent scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Deep understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
