- Optimize system performance through capacity planning, load balancing, and infrastructure automation
- Provide 24/7 on-call support with rapid incident response for critical production systems
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code solutions
- Document system architectures, disaster recovery plans, and operational procedures
- Mentor junior team members and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise system administration in Linux/Windows environments
- Expert-level proficiency in virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) with direct experience in migration projects
- Strong scripting capabilities (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and management
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA Server+, RHCE, MCSE, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus)
- Proven ability to manage complex network environments (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls)
