Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Windows Server and Linux infrastructure.
- Manage and troubleshoot complex network issues, including VPNs, firewalls, and VLAN configurations.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect company data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Lead server patching, backup, and disaster recovery planning procedures.
- Automate routine IT tasks using scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef).
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate CI/CD pipelines into existing systems.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and mentor junior system administrators.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft Exchange/Office 365.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, MCSE, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator are highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
